This album is dedicated to the documentation of my tenth grade students learning and creating visual art using the watercolor painting technique. The activation and usage of prior knowledge were heavily involved going through this unit of study as students had to recall and refer back to linear perspective, e.i, one-point and two point perspective.
Students also had to use pen and ink and further had to recall on prior knowledge in regards to the effective usage of lines and weight variations to effectively balance the overall look of the art works produced.
Basic color theory was also taught in juxtaposition to learning about watercolor techniques and formal applications.
Attached are some pictures of the art-making and learning journey within this unit. Enjoy!
